home to culture and history
In Hilltop, we like to say we’re on top – on top of all of Tacoma, that is! We sit on a hill that overlooks much of the rest of the city and much like our view, we believe our neighborhood is tops, too!
Hilltop is located in the heart of Tacoma above the downtown. It is a quick and convenient spot to pick up a last minute gift, box of chocolates, drug store item, or grab a bite for lunch with choices ranging from barbecue to hot bowls of noodle soup. Hilltop is also one of the oldest residential areas in Tacoma and historic walking tour maps are available through the Historic Preservation Office. It is also home to Columbia Bank, Key Bank, The Evergreen Stage College, Multi Care and St. Joseph's hospital.
Our businesses are as diverse as the customers they serve. Need groceries? Check out Sav-A-Lot. How about gifts, including home-made candies? The Basket Nook and Johnson’s Candy have you covered. Looking for the latest in men’s fashions? Stop by Mr. Mac’s and he’ll take care of you. Are you hungry for some authentic ethnic food? Visit Le-Le’s Vietnamese Restaurant.
Hilltop is also your go-to spot to take care of your banking, dry cleaning, postal and pharmacy needs. And to top it all off, we’ve got barbers and hair salons, too! See the complete list of the more than 50 businesses in Hilltop and you’re sure to find just what you need.
So if you’re looking for the top spot in Tacoma, look no farther than Hilltop!
