Tell me a little bit about your salon and what makes it unique.
Charme studio specializes in natural nails services such as Manicures, Pedicures, nail strengthening treatments and gel polish. We try our best to educate our clients on nail care and sanitation practices when visiting a salon. We also have organic, result-driven skin care services – such as customized facials, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, peels and collagen induction therapy.
I believe we are unique in a few ways…
We are waterless — meaning we do not use foot baths for our pedicures. It is the most sanitary method of having a pedicure service.
We also offer traveling nails services — which means we can come to you if you are unable to come into the salon. We visit assisted living facilities, hospitals, homes, etc.
Where did the name for your salon come from?
We chose the name Charme after Charm the dog. It was a joke at first but it kind of just stuck. It was a different name than any other salon and we thought it was charming!
What is your favorite thing about being located downtown on Pacific Avenue between Stadium, Hilltop and Dome Districts?
All the awesome small businesses here! We have some really cool shops down here, they’re all different. A few of which are women owned. We all try to stay connected and support each other for events and such all the time. We are happy to be a part of this community!
What would you do to improve your business district or Tacoma as a whole?
I’m sure a lot of people would agree down here, parking really sucks. We’re very limited to where we can park and how long…I know I’ve had my share of parking tickets! Not sure how we could improve on that but I’m hoping they’re working on that for the near future.
How do YOU experience Tacoma?
I experience Tacoma by trying to support local as much as I can. I love the people and everything about what Tacoma has to offer. Everyone is pretty supportive of each other here and I think that’s pretty amazing!
Charme is located Downtown at 1730 Pacific Avenue and open 7 days a week.
You’ll discover basic nail and skin care and extravagant treatments and therapies. also Featured, a gentlemen’s manicure and “Little Lulu” pampering for children 10 and under.
