Happy Father’s Day weekend, Tacoma! What are your plans?! Let us help you make the most of the (fair weather forecast) weekend with this list of local events and small businesses to support while you’re honoring the male role models in your lives!

EAT
If exploring Proctor, stop by the newest businesses in town, Top Pot Donuts at Proctor Station or the Alegre Bakery and Gelato across Proctor on 27th Street.

Be sure to welcome State Street Beer Co to the neighborhood spot behind Bluebeard Coffee on 6th Avenue. They just arrived this week and could be the perfect place to serve dad a cold one.

SHOP
You’ll appreciate the handsome selection at Paper Luxe Studio, known for anything from a unique Father’s Day card to a bacon-scented candle. The Pacific Northwest Shop in Proctor, a perfect stop after Saturday’s Farmers Market, could easily be your one stop shop for last minute Father’s Day gifts.

For other gifts to honor dad (AND your local business community), consider the long running Barber Shop and the international eateries in Tacoma’s historical Freight House Square followed by a meander through Washington’s 2nd largest bookstore, The Tacoma Book Center. *Be aware that the Square is under renovation, so give a few extra minutes for parking and don’t judge this iconic local landmark by its cover.
