Tacoma has 15 active business districts with many upcoming Tacoma events! Check out 6th avenue, “the Ave” for some musical entertainment, day or night! It’s the perfect place for doggie day care, getting a tattoo or going clubbing at night! The Dome is our urban neighborhood located in the heart of the city’s transportation center. You can’t get lost in Tacoma because there are always plenty of routes leading you back to the Dome. Our Fern Hill district High School recently had an $11 million dollar renovation to restore its Georgian revival-style architecture. Make sure to also check the Fern Hill Methodist and Baptist Churches that were both built in the 1890’s. Lincoln is our International District where the TET, Vietnamese New Year is celebrated every year. It seems like you don’t have to go too far to learn about a different culture! Portland Avenue district is home to the original Puyallup Tribe of Indians and is filled with Native American Art. Tacoma is filled with Public Art because we like to keep our city hip!
