The Tacoma Youth Leadership Conference (TYLC) is a community sponsored event designed to: Cultivate enthusiasm in each student to develop leadership skills that they will use to give back to their community; Connect students with other students from their community to identify the needs in their community and ways to serve them together; Connect students with Community Leaders. During the conference students will have opportunities to listen to, have conversation and connect with diverse and multifaceted Community Leaders during breakout sessions, social activities and dinner. After the conference TYLC team will partner identified needs of each student with Community Leaders that will positively impact their student by providing relationship, knowledge, resources, tools and time in the following areas of need. Our target audience is 300-500 Tacoma Middle School students (25-50 students per middle school). Pre-registration is required.
