Join us for Park(ing) Day 2017: Over 30 parks will pop-up in downtown on Pacific Avenue on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017. Visit the parks between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., stop for lunch at one of the food trucks, complete a Park(ing) Day Passport to win prizes, enjoy children’s activities in Tollefson Plaza, and join DOTG for a walk event at noon.

This year BLRB Architects, AHBL, and MetroParks are sponsoring Park(ing) Day and the walk.

Park(ing) Day is an international event in which artists, citizens, and businesses will temporarily transform a metered parking spot into temporary public space. Park(ing) Day’s mission is to call attention to the need for more urban open space, generate discussion and debate around how public space is utilized, and to improve the quality of urban habitat.
