DESCRIPTION:Join us for Park(ing) Day 2017: Over 30 parks will pop-up in do
 wntown on Pacific Avenue on Friday\, Sept. 15\, 2017. Visit the parks betw
 een 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.\, stop for lunch at one of the food trucks\, comple
 te a Park(ing) Day Passport to win prizes\, enjoy children’s activities 
 in Tollefson Plaza\, and join DOTG for a walk event at noon.\n\nThis year 
 BLRB Architects\, AHBL\, and MetroParks are sponsoring Park(ing) Day and t
 he walk.\n\nPark(ing) Day is an international event in which artists\, cit
 izens\, and businesses will temporarily transform a metered parking spot i
 nto temporary public space. Park(ing) Day’s mission is to call attention
  to the need for more urban open space\, generate discussion and debate ar
 ound how public space is utilized\, and to improve the quality of urban ha
