Point Defiance Zoo loves a passionate reader. To honor those youngsters (5th grade and under) who read for at least 300 minutes over the summer, as well as other readers around the South Sound. To be eligible, register your child at your Tacoma library. And visit the zoo on Saturday, August 13 to join in the fun, featuring Henrik Bothe, comedian, juggler and magician. Be sure to arrive by 11 am to experience the magical entertainment, then stay for the day and enjoy our animal friends.
