DESCRIPTION:Do you know how many homeless youth live in Tacoma-Pierce Count
 y? Pierce County Community Connections estimates that 3\,000 youth are hom
 eless or at risk of being homeless. 1\,000 of these youth are under 18 yea
 rs old. So\, who are our homeless youth? What are their resources? What is
  the city and county doing to help them? And\, what can YOU do to help?\n\
 nParticipate in one of the Junior League of Tacoma’s signature events on
  November 4 to learn more!\n\n4th Annual Summit on Youth Homelessness and

 sion on Youth Homelessness from 9:00 - 10:30 am:\nModerated by Paige Hanse
 n of NPR affiliate station KNKX\, a panel of expert guest speakers will be
  discussing current issues surrounding homeless youth\, the resources that
  are available as well as the homeless youth shelter in Tacoma.\n\nPoverty
  Immersion Workshop from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm\nMartha Aitken\, Senior Associ
 ate of WSU's Metropolitan Center for Applied Research and Extension\, will
  lead participants through a unique\, interactive experiential training to
  simulate the stressors faced by individuals and families in times of need
