DESCRIPTION:Our third annual storytelling festival falls on Tuesday\, Octob
 er 3rd.\nThis event is FREE to attend. Some venues will have food and drin
 k available for purchase. AFTER PARTY BEGINS AT 9PM HOSTED BY BLACK KETTLE
  BITES AND BREW AND IS 21+\n\nOur vision is to present a matrimony of the 
 written word\, music and art to celebrate our rich creative culture. Sever
 al storytelling performances will take place each hour of the Crawl. Creat
 ive Fiction\, Poetry\, Film\, Music\, YA and the Oral Tradition are all hi
 ghlighted. Choose your itinerary and get drunk.....on words.\n\n6 PM\n\nOn
 e Person’s Trash: 6 PM-The Mix~ Join the editors and friends of One Pers
 on’s Trash for an evening of homeless stories at The Mix. Alex Nickerson
 \, Steven Gontarz\, Jake Nau and others will read poetry and creative nonf
 iction pieces having to do with homelessness. Copies of the latest issue o
 f One Person’s Trash will be available for purchase from vendors at the 
 door and with any luck\, a locally famous comedian will perform\, shingles
  pending. 21+\n\nWho Runs the World? Girls: 6 PM-Union Club~Join New York 
 Times Best Selling Author\, Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles\, Renegade
 s)\, Karen Harris Tully (The Faarian Chronicles) and Breeana Shields (Pois
 on’s Kiss) as they present tales from the perspective of the fierce hero
 ines featured in their YA novels. All Ages.\n\nRadioTacoma: 6 PM-Harmon Ta
 proom ~ Local author &amp\; actor\, James A. Gilletti presents “Baptism 
 by Fire”\, the first installment of his anthology “Brackett”\, stori
 es from the homicide files of Tacoma’s toughest cop. 21+\n\nArt House Ci
 nema with Jonah Barrett: 6 PM-Artists and Craftsman Supply ~Filmmaker and 
 writer Jonah Barrett presents his latest creation: “Bad Faith.” Jeane\
 , an office intern\, struggles to separate the lines between dreams and re
 ality\, and must fight to keep both her job and sanity as she deals with t
 he likes of a spiteful coworker and a bloodthirsty sphinx. The film serves
  as a delightful cocktail of cosmic horror\, existentialism\, lost friends
 hips\, and office politics – with a Q&amp\;A afterward where you can ask
  the director embarrassing questions. All Ages\n\nPuget Sound Poetry Conne
 ction: 6 PM-King’s Books Store ~PSPC takes over King’s Books for an ev
 ening of storytelling. Join them for the first hour with writers Michael M

  on Inevitability: 7 PM-The Union Club ~University of Puget Sound showcase
 s students Ella Frazer\, Hannah Monsour\, Robbie Diaz\, Ariane Farris\, Am
 y Griggs\, Allexxa Brooks and Benjamin Fallis as they explore the theme of
  the inevitable. All Ages\n\nDrunken Telegraph- King Harvest: 7 PM-Black K
 ettle Bites and Brew ~You don’t get to enjoy the fruits of your labor wi
 thout some sacrifice. Drunken Telegraph co-founders Megan Sukys and Tad Mo
 nroe\, having both grown up in farming communities\, share real-life stori
 es about what it takes to reap what you sow. 21+\n\nPuget Sound Poetry Con
 nection: 6 PM-King’s Books Store ~PSPC takes over King’s Books for an 
 evening of storytelling. Join them for the first hour with writers James C

 ill create improvised experimental soundscapes set to poems by German poet
  Rainer Maria Rilke. Show will be accompanied by video art from Berlin art
 ist Stephen Mooney. 21+\n\n8 PM\n\nLies\, Damn Lies and Half-Truths: 8 PM-
 Doyle’s Public House ~Life\, if you’re a writer it’s just good fodde
 r for your work. CC Alumni\, Jenni Prange Boran\, Sam Snoek-Brown (Hagridd
 en\, Where There is Ruin) and Jonah Barrett (City of Weird) will weave fic
 tional tales around true events.\nFollowed by a gameshow style Q&amp\;A wi
 th Jonny Eberle\, will you be able to tell reality from fiction in their s
 tories? Additionally Snoek-Brown will be donating that evening’s book sa
 les proceeds to a good cause with Hagridden benefitting SPLC and Where The
 re is Ruin aiding hurricane relief efforts. That’s a fact. 21+\n\nPuget 
 Sound Poetry Connection: 8 PM-King’s Books Store ~PSPC takes over King
 ’s Books for an evening of storytelling. Join them for the third hour wi
 th writers Kristi Rozdilsky and Dave Warner. All Ages\n\nTahoma West Prese
 nts: 8 PM-The Union Club ~Join UWT students\, past and present as they wea
 ve their tales. Beck Adelante\, Caitlyn McFarland\, Alex Nickerson\, Jenny
  Miller and Jake Nau will read a variety of literary works including poetr
 y and essays. All Ages\n\nSongs and the Stories They Tell – The Other Si
 de of the Coin: 8 PM-Harmon Taproom ~Inspired by the many music podcasts t
 hat merge the interview format with live performance\, singer songwriter T
 ravis Barker will be performing songs that have a story\, including many f
 rom his forthcoming album. Tad Monroe will be interviewing Travis througho
 ut about the stories that his songs tell and his process as a songwriter. 
 Mix in some poetry\, special guest performers\, and maybe even some questi
 ons from the audience. This will be an interactive and engaging look at th
 e stories that Travis’ songs tell on the theme The Other Side of the Coi
 n – songs about the broken hearted\, outlaws\, addicts\, and war torn ve
 terans to name a few. 21+\n\nA Black Girl’s Guide to Voluntary Commitmen
 t: 8 PM-Black Kettle Bites and Brew ~Kellie Richardson (BrownBetty253) sha
 res a deeply personal story of battling mental illness and hanging up souv
 enirs in what she calls “The Museum of Me.” 21+\n\nThis year's venues
