 tan Veterinary Hospital on Monday\, October 22nd from 5-7pm as we celebrat
 e and support local and internationally known artist\, Kris Vermeer!\n\nWe
  will have light bites and beverages for all to enjoy.\n\nAbout Kris:\n\nK
 ris Vermeer is an internationally known visual artist who lives in Tacoma\
 , WA. Her love of ancient cultures and petroglyphs has been integrated in 
 her creations since 1985. Her work is collected by several Nobel Prize win
 ners\, David Attenborough\, and can be found in permanent displays in publ
 ic areas like Point Ruston\, Las Vegas Airport\, Emerald Queen Casino as w
 ell as private collections. Kris is a self-taught artist who works in a va
 riety of mediums from fused glass\, metals\, to acrylic paintings that inc
 orporate sand and she designs and builds steel sculptures. Kris enjoys bei
 ng a mentor and has been an artist in residence for Tacoma Schools since 2
 012 teaching classes to children and adults through the Arts Impact progra

 terinary Hospital is excited to combine several of our passions: the Arts\
 , community\, and youth development.\n\nSince Dr. Natalie Warren opened th
 e doors of Met Vet she has demonstrated her commitment to the local Arts c
 ommunity through thoughtfully curated shows.
