Enjoy music, dance and Chinese culture at the 5th annual Tacoma Moon Festival! This free event takes place on Sept. 16 from 2-7 p.m. at Chinese Reconciliation Park along Tacoma’s waterfront. Many activities take place around the beautiful Fuzhou Ting. Wonderful entertainment for all!

Presented by the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation, the theme of this year’s celebration is “Immigrant’s Stories.” The festival features music, dance, and theatrical performers from a number of heritage communities. Besides performances from East Asian cultures which traditionally celebrate Moon Festivals in September, there will be a Marimba Band, a Poetry Reading and a final performance of Beijing Opera by Seattle’s Hwa Sheng Chinese Opera Club.

Our famous “Moon Cakes,” will be available for sale along with a variety of teas. A wine and beer garden will be available for adults, and there will be hands-on activities for adults and children. As the festival closes at 7 pm, a parade of lanterns will be led by the Moon Princess.

We are still seeking corporate and individual sponsors for the event! If interested in sponsoring, please contact Tacoma Moon Festival Planning Committee at info@TacomaChinesePark.org. Thank you.

We look forward to celebrating with you at Chinese Reconciliation Park!
